It has a 400 feet elevation change and speeds reaching 25 miles per hour! While there are other mountain coasters in the Smoky Mountains, the Rail Runner is a single rail mountain coaster. It is the first of its kind in the USA! The single rail allows you to ride lower to the ground. So, this enhances the speed and thrills as you race through the trees and down the mountain! Since you are in control of the speed of your own ride, you can also choose a more leisurely pace through the 1,600 feet of downhill twists and turns. You can ride solo or tandem with a child. 3. Tree Canopy Walk
The Tree Canopy Walk at Anakeesta is a rare opportunity to feel completely immersed in nature as you stroll 40 to 60 feet above the forest floor! This attraction features a series of 16 connected sky bridges and are offer a unique bird’s eye view of the Smoky Mountains! Each of the bridges leads to a new observation platform where you can enjoy the beautiful scenery. The forest is full of wildlife, so you never know when you might spot a bear along the forest floor!
