By the name of this museum, you can probably guess what you will find inside. However, it is much more exciting than it sounds. The thing that makes a trip to the Salt and Pepper Shaker Museum so special is the story behind it. One day, the owners discovered they didn’t have a pepper mill in their home. Therefore, they did what anyone else would do and went out in search of one. As they searched for the perfect pepper mill, they realized that each one was unique in its own way. They began a small collection, and now they have over 20,000 pairs of shakers in the museum!
2. Gatlinburg’s Mysterious Mansion
Gatlinburg’s Mysterious Mansion is without a doubt one of the creepiest Gatlinburg attractions. However, it is one that you don’t want to pass over. This family owned haunted house opened its doors in 1980 and has been scaring guests in the Smokies ever since. The house was designed to resemble an early 1900s Victorian style mansion, and it has amazing features. If you are brave enough to enter, you will come across secret passageways, eerie dark corridors, and plenty of spine tingling characters.
3. Hillbilly Golf
While there are plenty of miniature golf courses across the Smokies, none of them are as unique as Hillbilly Golf in Gatlinburg. You will begin your adventure with a ride to the top of the mountain and will then work your way down with an exciting game of golf. There are two 18 hole courses to choose from, both situated on the side of the mountain. While you enjoy a fun game of mini golf with your family, you can also take in the gorgeous scenery of the Smoky Mountains. Everyone in your group is sure to have a great time, but the winner will also have a few bragging rights for the rest of the trip!
4. Fannie Farkle’s Amusement
This amusement center in Gatlinburg has a little something for everyone! There is a giant arcade that will have your family laughing with excitement, as it features all the best arcade games on the market. Whether you love the classics, such as PacMan, or prefer some of the virtual reality games of today, you will adore this unique arcade. When you get hungry, you will want to check out some of the legendary food options at Fannie Farkle’s. Some of the mouth watering options include philly cheesesteaks, sausage subs, and the world famous Ogle Dog.
