1. Unique Activities
This theme park in Gatlinburg is home to some amazing activities that you won’t find anywhere else in the country, and maybe not even in the world! In addition to the 700-foot long SkyBridge, there are a few other amazing attractions you will want to experience. The fun all begins with the ride to the top of Crockett Mountain on the Gatlinburg SkyLift, which was the first four-season chairlift in the South when it opened in 1954. Since that time, it has been treating guests to unbelievable views of the Smokies on the way up and down the mountain.
2. Incredible Views
No matter what you decide to explore while at the Gatlinburg SkyLift Park, you will be treated to the most amazing panoramic view of the mountains. Be sure to bring your camera along for the trip, as you will want to take plenty of pictures to take back home to your family and friends. A couple of the best places to take pictures at the park are on the SkyBridge and the SkyDeck. From the SkyDeck, you will have a stunning view that overlooks the entire theme park, plus there are plenty of places to sit down and relax as well!
3. Food and Shopping
When you need a break from the exciting attractions, you can walk over to the SkyCenter and explore a number of incredible shops and restaurants. First, be sure to snag your souvenir photo that was taken on your ride up on the SkyLift. The iconic photo of you on the classic yellow chairlift will be one that you want to take home and frame. The SkyCenter is also a great place to pick up Smoky Mountain souvenirs for yourself and your family back home, as you will find everything from apparel to toys for the kids! You will also find a ton of snack shacks where you can fill up on some amazing food, including pizza, pretzels, nachos, and cookies.
4. Hike the New SkyTrail
The SkyTrail is the newest addition to the Gatlinburg SkyLift Park, and it offers a fun way to get some exercise while enjoying the sights and sounds of nature. It is a scenic walkway that connects each end of the SkyBridge and provides the opportunity to take a leisurely walk through the forest. In total, the SkyTrail covers just over a third of a mile, making it an easy walk for all members of your family to enjoy together! Along the way, you will also learn some fascinating facts about the theme park and the Smoky Mountains.
